Inspiration

I find inspiration through many ways- music, television shows, nature, other people.
Lately, this song has given me so much inspiration...Check it out!

"You are Everything"- Matthew West
I’m the one with two left feet
Standing on a lonely street
I can’t even walk a straight line
And every time you look at me
I’m spinning like an autumn leaf
Bound to hit bottom sometime
Where would I be without someone to save me
Someone who won’t let me fall

CHORUS: You are everything that I live for
Everything that I can’t believe it's happening
You’re standing right in front of me
With arms wide open
All I know is
Every day is filled with hope

'Cause you are everything that I breathe for
And I can’t help but breathe you in
And breathe again
Feeling all this life within
Every single beat of my heart

I’m the one with big mistakes
Big regrets and bigger breaks
Than I ever care to confess
Oh but, You’re the one who looks at me
And sees what I was meant to be
More than just a beautiful mess
Where would I be without someone to save me
Someone who won’t let me fall

CHORUS

You’re everything good in my life
Everything honest and true
And all of those stars hanging up in the sky
Could never shine brighter than You

CHORUS

You are
Oh, you are
Jesus, You are
You are everything

Here's the actual song if you want to listen to it... "You are Everything"

Life can be really hard sometimes, and you never know what it's going to throw at you next. I love the fact that no matter what changes in my life, God's love for me will always stay the same.

So, what's been inspiring you lately?

Take Charge!

A lot of people (including myself) like to blame everyone and everything around us for our own failure, and the lack of opportunities we are not presented. However, the truth is, we are in charge of our own dreams. We cannot continue to let things hold us back from our dreams...especially our parents. Because at the end of the day...it is our life, and we'll be the ones living with the decisions we make long after our parents are gone.

We only have one life! Make it last!! Fight for your dreams, stand up for what you believe in, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. We are all capable of achieving great things...but only if we want to. A major life lesson will be realizing that the only key difference in whether we succeed or fail is the dedication we put into our endeavors. Our future is in our hands.

A German poet, Goethe once said, "I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the deceive element. It is my personal approach that creates my climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous...".
So, how will you make your life??

Seasons Change

So, I had a really interesting conversation with a good friend of mine last night about friendship, and something he said really got me thinking. He said that people in our lives are like seasons, they are around for some period of time, and then they aren't around anymore. I agree and disagree with this statement. If I look back at my past friendships, then i would definitely agree. I'm not friends with the same people I was friends with in middle school, and some in high school. But, that's life. People do come in and out of your life for various reasons, but going into a friendship thinking that one day this person isn't going to be in my life anymore is kind of depressing, and something I wouldn't want to think about.

What do you guys think? And while you're at it, give me your definition of friendship.

Carpe diem?

So, last night I watched a new show called The Buried Life. It's basically about four guys who made a list of 100 things they want to do before they die. When they accomplish something on their list, they help a stranger accomplish something on theirs.
Something one of the guys said got me thinking...He said not only does he want to help other people but what him and his three friends are doing is pushing themselves past their comfort zone.
What they're doing is really interesting. We don't know when we'll die, and everyone always says they're living life to the fullest, but are you really?
I propose we all do something extraordinary today! Push yourself past your comfort zone and see where it takes you.

Let me know how your day goes...
